M8.6 (Now officially) M9.0 earthquake hit the northern part of Japan around 14:46 pm (JST) yesterday, and its subsequent tsunami caused many casualties and damages to broaden area, but especially Sendai city in Miyagi prefecture. The quake was so huge that Tokyo was affected causing its public transportation system to shut down. Many are left where they were at the time and could not go home until next morning. The aftermath of the earthquake and tsunami are very severe, and after quake and moderate level earthquake still continues to hit the northern part of Japan, as we speak.
Luckily, the Lunascape staff in the headquarter in Tokyo, Japan are safe and well, and we’ll continue to operate our regular businesses. However, seeing people in one’s home country suffer is very devastating, and our prayers are with people in Japan.
