We have launched a campaign to help victims of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan. Lunascape will donate 50 yen (64 ¢ USD) per every downloads of iLunascape products during one month, starting from March 17th, 2011 (PST). Also, we’ll be setting up a Paypal for our Lunascape desktop users and existing iLunascape users to join the campaign.
The number of aftershock associated with the M9.0 earthquake is recorded over 220 times since March 11th, which is the highest record in Japan. The tsunami that engulfed many houses and buildings has left them more than 20,000 missing people. The aftershock affects not only direct victims of the tragedy, but also people live outside of the affected area. There are growing concerns towards nuclear plants’ damages and continued aftershocks. People are having planned black outs for energy reservation purposes, not being able to have electricity, gas or water for couple of hours every day.
All we can do now is to hope for the best, to raise awareness of the catastrophe in Japan and to donate what we can. Lunascape also donates 1 million yen ($12,804.10 USD) on top of the amount we’d raise from this campaign.
